"Please note there is a new principal as of 2010 and she is amazing so far. Any reviews on the principal before then should be ignored. We've been there for 3 years and I've had a great experience this year with the new principal and the things she's instilling. We have the choice to switch for a gate program but we're staying because we're very happy. I'm very impressed with "Stand Up 2 Bullying" program."

"I may be biased because the last school my son went to was Todd Elementary School, which is the most technologically advanced school in the district, but I believe it is more than that. Franklin claims to have knowledge and learning as its number one goal, yet my son has been repeating what he learned at Todd last year. Also, I've seen his work and I believe his teacher lets him slide on things within his work that will ultimately have a negative affect on his future academics. I also have a problem with the fact that the teacher lets the students skip lessons to help her file. If I had a choice, I would have kept my son in Eisenhower when he was overloaded there, or, ideally, Todd Elem."

"Principle is a very poor publicspeaker. Neither the Principle or VPP are 'motivational'. There is a lack of understanding where the school money goes (from PTA). The school lacks proper disciplinary handling when needed. The list goes on and on."

"Are you a parent that will keep in touch with your child's teacher? If so, this is a good school. They want parents watching and helping them help children. School policies and rules are enforced and this sometimes can be upsetting to us parents. However, they have them in place to maximize our children's learning and maintain a safe place. This school is wonderful."
