"Okay so I am in 7th grade and I attend BMS. It is an okay school overall. There does seem to be some trouble going on but you know what that keeps things interesting. I obtain good grades in all my classes because i TRY to. There are alot of students who don't care and that is why they don't do so well. The band at our school is amazing. I am first chair tenor saxaphone and I love the environment and the director, Jim Roderick. The kids in the band are great and most of them are my best friends. Attending BMS can be challenging at times considering the extraordinary drama issue with the preps but that how all middle schools are so whatever. __________________"

"O.K. I've gone to Braddock 6th and 7th grade and am currently in the 8th grade. In my years here at Braddock I have been very satisfied with our school. The staff at Braddock are very nice and work with us very well. We even have a whole class period for our MSA test preperation. If there are kids in our school who have low grades it is simply because they refuse to learn, it's most definitely not the teachers fault. In my opinion, Braddock Middle School is the best middle school in Allegany County!"

"I am in the 8th grade, and the staff is very good. A lot of the students are bad, so if something is wrong with grades and what not, ask YOUR child what's going on, the teachers aren't mind readers. I have done exceedingly, and there are some days when I wasn't so good. A lot of the grades are based on, if you actually try and do your homework, how much you pay attention, and doing your best. The days I don't do good, is when I am not focused. There are better teachers then others, but it depends on what kind of student you are. It doesn't seem like they learn a lot at first, but you have to know the basics in order to learn more. And as of special ed. people, Braddock's 8th grade SHOP does stuff with them so they don't feel left out."

"Wow! I have just read the reviews at this school. Both of my children attended this school. I did not find the teachers to be lazy or the staff to be rude. If you look at the test scores Braddock is above the state average. One of my children was a special education student and had emotional problems. The staff and teachers were always ready and willing to help. I am just not sure why there is so many poor ratings. I totally disagree with the ratings,"

"I agree with all the comments and face the same problems. They will have my son who has 3 Fs and a D move on, they have no summerschool to accomodate failing students. And yes lousy and poor communication among teachers/guidance counselers and parents. So, what other Middle Schools can be recommended in that area???"
