    "OMS is a school with Superior administration,counselors, clerks, media, technology, teachers, and students! The school atmosphere is calm, friendly, safe,clean, and A LOT of outstanding learning going on. Our family has found the principal is always visible. Our child describes him as a magician , always around the building. It 's always great to feel welcome as you enter the main office. Well-done OMS for dividing the grade levels into section. Having sixth grade classes closer to the main office help 5th graders transition easily into 6th grade. This school academics goes beyond state and county standards. The students are required to write in every subject and special areas Can you imagine writing in PE and Chorus as well? What a great concept, getting students to become great writers. WIth the technology in our everyday lives, these students will be ready for the world market. Thank-you, OMS staff for teaching above the standards! Especially, thank-you to Mr ****'s teaching team for giving our child a great start in Middle School. OMS will help develop critical thinkers, creative, and many more areas for your child.     "If you are looking for a school that inspires a love of learning and develops innovative, creative, critical-thinking problem solvers then this is NOT the school for you.The bloated, worksheet curriculum is designed for maximum test performance only, leaving no room for any kind of penetrating exploration of anything that is being taught. It is a stuff them- test them-move-them-on methodology resulting in a superficial 'education" that trains your children to perform well on tests but leaves them with a very shallow educational experience. My 6th grader had Earth Science this year, which consisted of taking notes from a power point EVERY SINGLE DAY. No class projects, no stimulating learning. And this was EARTH SCIENCE! Unfortunately, the demands of the curriculum leave no time for anything as frivilous as experiential learning. You are fortunate if you have a teacher who is able to bring the curriculum to life with their own dynamic and stimulating personality (yes, we have them). If you are dazzled by test scores and think they are getting a quality education because of all the "work" they do, then you will love this school. If you know better, look elsewhere. This is Gwinnett."

    "I personally think this school was O.K. In this school the teachers are too strict, and they focus more on writing than anything else! Plus the school dances STUNK. They never value the student's input in anything. They expect us to know everyting, and teach it to ourselves."

    "I have two students who have attended Osborne and we could not have been more pleased. The children feel safe and engaged. I credit the Principal and his staff for insisting on a curriculum that does not allow time or opportunity for mischief. Academically, Osborne ranks near the very top in the state. One thing this school has going for it is strong community support. Classes are all fitted with the newest electronic learning aids thanks to fund-raisers. Osborne is jewel in the nationally award winning Gwinnett County Public School system."

    "I have had experience with two (2) other school districts in Georgia. Overall, the academic program at this school is excellent. The previous schools my children attended can not compare with the education they are receiving in the Mill Creek school district. The educators are excellent and the community is very supportive. My family and I agree that our children our receiving a higher level of education than most public schools and some private schools. There is always a balance. The other side to this story is the amount of school work my child brings home. She is in gifted classes usually indicating she will have additional work for specific projects, though the amount of time she spends on homework in 4 days can be in excess of 2 hours per day. This time spent is not due to a lack of understanding or motivation on her part. I feel that more should be accomplished at school allowing my daughter family time at home. The bottom line is the school expects excellence and we should expect the same for the education of our children. This is why OMS is a number 10."
