    "I concur with the 2 previous posters. The ratings and scores don't tell the story about DHS. It is an amazing school with wonderfully dedicated teachers. I'll never forget how I got a call the summer before my daughters Freshman year. Two of her core teachers wanted to come visit . In 2 teacher pairs they were visiting all the incoming Freshman assigned to their academy group before school started. Wow - what dedication! We have not faced the all too common clique or "meanness" factor. She has wonderful friends with high standards and values. She has loved the school and most of her teachers. I am confident she is getting a great education and DHS offers so many great opportunities in sports, clubs, music and the arts. If you haven't attended a play or orchestra event at the school you are missing out. Sadly we are moving due to a job relocation. I only hope her next school is as wonderful as DHS."

    "A few years agoMy son switched schools from a town right outside of Danbury right my youngest went to high school.Because of a divorce. Over the years he was bullied and nothing was done. So we decided to use my ex husbands address to let him attend Danbury. and he loves it and I was so prejudice about Danbury. He does theatre and is accepted just because he isn't tough. All parents should send their kids to Danbury High. Don't be afraid about all the rumors about gangs it is amazing experience ]. He has a 4.0 GPA. He rose from C's to A's because of the teachers dedication and helpfulness towards the students education! Now he is attending Yale in the fall, Remember make the change"

    "Diverse student population, lots and lots of different classes available. Helps prepare students for the world more than most schools in the area, mainly in part to the large cultural diversity."

    "We just moved back to Danbury a month ago, my son attends Danbury High School and he loves it, the administration is great helpful and caring. The teachers are fantastic.. I just wish we moved back home years ago so my kids could have had a better education then what they received from their former schools in Thomaston. I'm a very happy parent. Thank you Danbury High School"

    "Danbury High School and Bethel School District have had a partnership with Western CT. State University for several years with a "Building Bridges" program to aid students who have graduated from DHS and Bethel suceed, aclimate, and be able to do standard required college work. Over the years, several graduates have stated that they were rather behind academically when they entered their respective universities and colleges."
