"I love the education I've received at this school and I've really thrived in the competitive atmosphere. However, it seems like sometimes grading can be very unfair as many students cheat their way to the top or beg for grade changes they don't deserve. I don't know exactly what happens behind the scenes that makes it possible for B students to have all A's in higher level classes, but I do know that it isn't fair. As a student that has worked really hard to earn high A's in the school's most challenging classes, I find the cheating and faking of grades to be really frustrating. Additionally, the students are often really stuck up, rich kids who care about very superficial things and manage to get into colleges based off their money. These negatives, however, don't affect the school so much to the point where I dislike going here. I really love the academic environment, the facilities and resources available, as well as the presence of extracurricular activities and community service opportunities. This school has a lot to offer, and the negative points are to be expected at such a competitive school in a wealthy area."

"This school is full of smart, competitive students and great teachers, however, the installations are out of date. The bathrooms are examples of what that needs to be updated and soon."

"The AP and Honors teachers are mostly extremely knowledgable and often world or state renowned for their teaching abilities. Teachers make the learning experience very hands on and do things in unexpected, non traditional ways that make it possible to learn very easily. Many students barely need to study or try very hard because they're already learning everything so effectively that they remember without the need to study. However, the teachers of Regular and Special Ed classes are horrible. They don't maintain any control over the classroom and don't seem to be effective at teaching anything, seeing as a large amount of Regular students don't even pass state-wide standardized tests because their teachers never taught them useful skills for reading, writing, and math. Aside from elective and fine arts teachers, the Regular education is pretty bad and the behavior in those classes is unbelievably intolerable, yet teachers do nothing to stop it. Compared to other schools in the area, Spanish River is somewhat better in this aspect because we don't have that large of a population of these Regular students and teachers, but what we do have is pretty appalling to someone who is used to the very controlled learning environment presented in the higher level classes at this school."

"The teachers at Spanish River Community High School are excellent, especially for AP and Honors courses. Most teachers give lectures which I find to be the best method of teaching. Most of them are very kind and extremely helpful with the process of completing high school to the best of the student's ability."

"Most teachers are great: you can ask them many questions, talk to them privately, and overall, just trust them."
