"Seriously? Theres no teacher by that name at Gilpin. He did what I'm doing and what the other parent did- leave before it's too late. It's so obbvious that the principal's assistant wrote the review. If you want to know the real story CHECK THE TEST SCORES."

"If you have not been to Gilpin during this school year, you really need to take the time to check it out. This school has done a total 180. Was the school underperforming before? Yes. Has it made neccessary and difficult changes to raise the school to a completely different level? YES! It is now a Montessori based school, which provides an excellent environment and foundation for life-long leaners. Gilpin has a new principal, Frank Vincent, who is providing the required leadership to turn the school around. Principal Vincent is in fact, a nationally recognized Montessori educator and administrator. He is a catch. All of the teachers are now Montessori trained. Their in-class materials are beautiful. The school is clean and orderly and the students are focused on learning. Teachers don't find themselves disciplining a few students at the detriment of the rest of the class. They serve healthy meals, made from scratch and are even starting a garden this spring so they can eat the veggies in the fall. Make an appointment for a tour. Check out the school and witness what the school has become!"

"My son was a student a Gilpin K-8 since Kindergarten. We choiced in because as a single parent Gilpin was the best school for my son at the time for many reasons. He is now in 4th Grade, but we have moved to a different school for various reasons. His testing scores last year were significant to his overall attendance and all of the teachers that impacted his education in a powerful way since the day he started Kindergarten. His fourth grade teacher, Micheal Sterling, not only exemplified knowledge and wisdom but everyday challenged my son, and his entire class beyond metocrity. His passion to teach went beyond teaching literature, writing and mathematics. He chellenged them daily. Congratulations Gilpin and Thank You for amking a difference. My son is on his way to academic excellence because his foundation was excellent!"
