"I have volunteered at the school and seen the great work they do."

"The staff and the philosophy of the school combine to provide incredible support children with special needs and their families. The kids learn powerful lifeskills to help them work thru social and emotional issues while staying up with academics and always working toward individual goals of success. The counselors, therapists, teachers and administrative staff are compassionate yet very knowledgeable and have a real desire to help these children and their families. They also provide great support to the other schools when the child is ready to return to regular classrooms. This school is a fantastic community resource which receives far too little acclaim for the good work the staff does."

"Sobesky is a Day Treatment Program for kids with behavioral and emotional issues. My son was in regular school for 6 yrs and they were clueless as to how to meet his needs. The staff at Sobesky are all professionals and have done wonders with my son. He is no longer punished for behaviors that are a result of a neurological brain disorder. Instead he is counseled and helped to learn how to deal with his issues. I have met many parents of challenging children from other school districts and they do not have day treatment programs available. My heart goes out to them. Sobesky is a school that helps these children transition back out into regular school settings with special ed support. We were reluctant for our son to go there because of some of the troubled children in attendance. But now we don't want him to leave."
