"We moved to Birdsboro three years ago and have had children in Birdsboro Elementary, D. B. Middle School, and D. B. High School. I never thought I could say this about any school, but the three schools my children have attended here have been a dream come true. The Daniel Boone School District is amazing. My elementary and high school age children both LOVE their schools. The teachers and staff are very caring, helpful, and enthusiastic. Even the office administrators are a joy to deal with. Parent-Teacher communication is wonderful. Education and special programs are excellent. The facilities are nice, clean, and mostly new. They have a great security program, including security locks on doors, and guards at the high school. The Daniel Boone schools have far exceeded our expectations, and we could not be happier."

"First of all, the busses drop off in the back of the building, parrent pick up and drop off is right at the front doors. also, there math is great my daughter (going to grade 5) has really advanced in math since coming to this school. the principal is great and has addressed all of my concerns personally. i would recomend this school to any one who wants there children to have a positive learning expierence."

"I agree with the fact that most of the teaching methods have been largely 'traditional' in this building and I think it may be due to the larger number of seasoned teachers at the lower levels Gr 1-3. However, the remedial math instruction for grades 4-6 is bar none here (and I'm a Math instructor). My son who was in remediation and scored nearly in advanced PSSA level both gr. 4 and 5 and has 'nailed down' the concepts by middle school and is gettings 90's in math this year. This district will see a shuffling of children among the brand new Monocacy Facility that will transfer this principal there but will open up new opportunities for fresh approaches too. I do see a demand for the science instructors to at the very least have a specialization in that area with the elementary cert. This should be required."

"I have not seen any improvement in the math curriculum at all.my son comes home with home work all the time that he has no clue how to do I could understand if it was once in awhile but this is all the time , Also I think there is an issue with how the children that are dropped off by parents in the morning the kids that ride the bus get dropped off right at the door but because of the busses being in front of the school cars aren't allowed to drive up to the door so we have to drop them off at the other side of the school and they have to walk all the way around no matter what the weather is like . There is a door where we drop the kids off why cant it be used?"

"I'm disappointed in the quality of educatation. Coming from an outstanding school system for myself, the school lacks creativity. Their method of teaching math (for example) is by having the kids do countless worksheets. There has to be a better way. It becomes boring to the kids after a while. No wonder they fall behind other school districts in math! It's time to shake it up a bit. The school recently got a new principal who I'm impressed with. I'm hoping she's able to make some changes for the better."
