"I absolutly agree with the person who stated the school is lucky because thats what they are! If the parents did not work with their children they would be doomed. As a teacher myself and knowing what goes on inside it is very disturbing and disheartening. The school has systems in place but yet they are not used consistently and tracked on an ongoing basis. Why have it then? I had many incidents where I have been very unhappy with a few of the teachers. For what I pay in taxes this is not acceptable. I can't imagine having to send my 2 daughters to Abbey Lane, but unfortunatley my 1 child is stuck here for the time being."

"I have been thrilled to have my children in the Levittown school district. Between my two children, we have been in elementary, middle and high school (Abbey, Wisdom and Divsion) and have had wonderful experiences with helpful teachers and principals that are approachable by both the students and parents. We have both sides of the spectrum in our family- a child in honor classes and one in special ed and we have been very thankful for the love, concern and care from teachers and administrators that go above and beyond their normal jobs for the best care for our children."

"Our family loves Abbey Lane. We have a 1st grader and a 5th grader attending this year. Our kids have had excellent teachers and academic success. This is a school with a lot of parental involvement."

"Abbey Lane is an excellent school. Every week my son has 2 days of Gym, 1 day of Library, 1 day of art, and 1 day of music. Everyday is something new, fun, and exciting! Also the best thing you could do is join the PTA...that gives you a chance to be involved in your childs school life. There are many activities you can volunteer in and you are more than likely going to get called to help out..and what a great feeling your son/daughter gets when they see you in school."

"Although my son will only be entering first grade I can say with confidence that the teachers and district are more than satisfactory. How can I say this? Because both my husband and myself along with all of our siblings have gone through the Levittown School District (Abbey Lane, Wisdom Lane,Division and Memorial), graduated and have established jobs and families. It is true that taxes are high here, but that is anywhere. It is true that kindergarten was half day but it is now being extended. As far as reading in kindergarten, my son has learned many sight words and can read level one books almost completely on his own. I have no reservations about sending my son to Abbey Lane and I don't anticipate any for when my daughter attends in a few years."
