"My overall experience at this school was lifechanging. The variety of people i met helped me go through different situations that i had no idea could ever occur. I learned how to find happiness within msyelf because of wrestling. BPA helped me become more sociable and focused on one goal, and informed how i have to be focused to achieve goals i set for myself."

"The teachers at JEHS are very knowledgeable, however they do not work at their full potential. At least a majority of them reach out to students. They make sure we're comfortable in situations, we're preparing for college, staying on task, and most importantly that we do not procastinate because they let us know it will affect our GPA's."

"There are a few teachers who do what they are suppose to do, teach. The environment at Economedes is too relaxed for a high school. I know of many teachers who allow students that should fail to pass because they did some form of extra credit that almost always benefits the teacher. For example, one of the math instructors gave their students a free grade if they sold tickets for the math club fundraiser. My AP biology teacher normally did her makeup during first period when we were supposed to have been covering material for class. She asked students if they had a specific kind of product she borrow. My AP chemistry teacher permitted us to waste so much time in class that we quickly fell behind the curriculum. Many of our grades were fake. Nearly all the clubs at school focused on fundraising enough money to be able to plan a field trip at the end of the year. There is very little community involvement and genuine interests in these clubs. I met a lot of students who said without hesitation that they joined a club because it looked good on their resume. Teachers encouraged students to join clubs, mostly for the same reason, a nice touch for their resumes. Overall the school should be reviewed by an education officials that are not from the Rio Grande Valley."

"Honestly, the teachers at this school help make being in school and learning challenging material much more manageable and amazing. Something that really highlights them is their willingness to help and vast knowledge in their respective subjects. I will definitely miss many when I graduate from here."
