"Most teachers do not seem to have an understanding of teaching. They give you pages to read, or they give you essays to write, and then complain when they are not done to their standards. Some teachers take more time to help, but the majority just confuse the students even more."

"Santa Cruz Valley Union High School is set in the rural area of Eloy, Arizona, not the richest place in the state for sure. However, the majority of the teachers and staff go out of their way to make personal connections with the students and to uphold an unimaginable degree of understanding and patience for their students. Thus, despite the overall reputation and lack of advancement in comparison with other nearby schools, Santa Cruz Valley Union High School is definitely the place to go for a well-rounded education."

"What makes this school unique is since its such a small school everyone on the campus knows each other. We all consider each other family. At pep rallies we are very competitive we say this chant "we got spirit yes we do we got spirit how about you?" And we point to a different class. Such as sophomores and so on. At the end we chant again saying "1""6" and so on basically saying the last two digits of our graduation year. As soon as we leave the pep rally we are back to being family its amazing. The teachers are also involved and let us have our fun. So you see i would choose this school if i could do it all over again."

"Because the majority of parents are often at work, attendance on the parents' part is not often the highest. I find that football and softball are the sports blessed with high parental attendance, but it is mostly due to the fact that these events occur often in the evening hours."

"When I attended Santa Cruz, I had the best four years of my life despite how small the school was. I volleyball, basketball, tennis and ran track. I was also the captain of all four varsity sports. I was Vice president of the National Honor Society and I was a proud member of the Jobs for Arizona's Graduates organization. With all that I did not have much time to be bored or worry about how little students there were. When I graduated, the schools population in total was around 300 and my graduating class was less than 90 students. However, the faculty and staff at Santa Cruz are dedicated to helping the students succeed and with that being said, I believe Santa Cruz is a great school!"
