"The teachers are great. They are all very smart but the affect on the students is how they teach. Some students get upset with the teacher over one little thing then in their head they tell themselves that they hate this teacher so they're not going to try in this class and end up failing. The work is not hard as long as you ask questions and do it in class. Many teachers relate to us about after school activities and give us plenty of time in class to finish the assigned homework. But some kids just won't do it and I will never understand why. The schedule is block periods so it is pretty easy. Extended period makes no sense to me because we spend and extra thirty minutes with just one teacher, yet if they added ten minutes to each period then the time spent with teachers would be equal."

"Most of the teachers/classes are wonderful and effectively teach, but there are teachers who should not be there b/c they cannot teach or just hate their job, but are because of the Union. However, I have had an amazing experience with my teachers, some even treated us as their own children."

"The best experiences I have had at my school would be the dances. They are so fun and I get to dress up all glam and fabulous and it is amazing. The classes are cool because we have American Sign Language and I am currently on my third year of it. A lot of the teachers are really fun and talkative and they make you feel comfortable talking to them. The senior activities are coming in and I cannot wait because I am going to make my senior year amazing. If I could go back and do high school all over again I think I would come back here. The staff is very nice to everyone, the classes are unique and the counselors really help with college applications. The only difference that I would have done is join more clubs, volunteer work, grades, classes and I would jump on the college train way earlier so that I knew what I wanted to do and where I want to go."

"I was involved in AP and the Performing Arts side of the school, and they are both amazing programs. There are some exceptions as usual, but I loved my school and am so glad I went over another high school option. It helped me to become more out going and gave me confidence for college."

"All teachers are different. They all have different principles, techniques, standards, everything is different. Some teachers go beyond to be comfortable with their students and make the students feel like they can be totally comfortable around them. Other teachers however do not try at all to be friends with the students they are just there to teach and that is it. Some teachers are on top of grades and put them in the day of or slack off and wait a couple of weeks. One difference that can be really annoying is their teaching style. Some teachers will engage the class and have a class discussion which makes the students participate naturally. Other teachers just hand out notes or a worksheet and that is all which makes the students bored and uninterested."
