    "My child is currently attending Vanden HS. The school is alright compare to the other HS in Fairfield. The only bad think in my opinion is their sports program. The athletic director doesn't really get involve and has no clue on what's going on with the school sports. I guess he is just there for the title and the pay check. Their basketball program is NO good and only won 1 game throughout the season last year. I think its time to make a change Mr. Athletic director, please start doing your job so Vanden can have a better season. Hint, hint, hint!!!"

    "I just recently left Vanden and moved to another school in sacramento. When I attended Vanden, I use to complain about the school all the time but only now do I realize how good I had it there. I had a beeter learning enviroment at Vanden and I learned alot more than I am currently learning. I regret leaving and if I had the oppotunity to go back to Vanden I definently would."

    "I graduated from Vanden in 2006 and I will admit when I was there I did not think much of Vanden. I was a member of the AFJROTC program and spent most of my HS time around that program. I did not realize what a great school Vanden was until I went to college (in NY). Many of the teachers and courses I took at Vanden put me ahead of many other students in my introduction courses. I think you can always find things to complain about a school. The overall quality of academics and extra curriculars is outstanding. Vanden is a school where if you want to excel you need to take it upon your own responsibility and find the great teachers to help you and you will learn. I have had many teachers who helped me and I was not in their class."

    "Concerned parent: For the 2009-2010 school year I had to remove my children from the Private school and place them in the public education system. My middle school age child's grades went down drastically this school year- which I attribute to the large change in environment, transition into middle school and overall teen tranistion. This school year (2010-2011) he is going to the 8th grade with hopes to promote into Vanden High School to complete his education.....over the years, I have heard that the academics at Vanden have deteriorated-- parents, please give me feedback regarding that......I am not interested in the sports program, rather the percentage of graduates that attend/are prepared to attend a 4-year college of their choosing and their success rates.....thanks!"

    "Our son attended Vanden High for his freshman year, and will for part of his sophomore year, I am as a Father I am sad he has to move. There is some politics involved especially with Athletics, but you re not going get away from the that, and it s not that bad at Vanden, it could be a lot worse. The school as a whole is a great school, I felt the need to write this because of the 2 star review that said its sad that it s the best school in Solano County. Take that review with a grain of salt. If your military researching schools before you get here, hands down Travis Unified is where you want to be. They do not even compare to any other system available. From the K-12 your child will be in a safe and challenging environment, you WILL NOT be sorry."
