"Last year my son had nothing but issues mostly stemming from bullying by the girls, then he was in trouble when he exploded. We tried to work with the school, had him in counseling, put him on a behavior plan for him to "earn" back privileges, work with him to help him make better choices, etc. He was constantly spinning his wheels, feeling worse and worse about himself and the intense hatred he developed for the principal was very disturbing. There was even an incident where my son claims that the principal called him swear names behind closed doors, of course the principal denied saying "that is absurd." We have decided to send our son to private school for the remainder middle school years and the change (and space the summer provided) has already made a huge and positive difference in his attitude. We also have a daughter who started 5th grade this year and on day 1 the principal managed to single out another child (a kid who was never in trouble before) during a meeting with the new 5th graders. He yelled a this child, demanded he leave the room and go to the office all for forgetting to cover his mouth when he yawned. The kids are now scared SICK to go to school. UGH!"

"This is my daughters first year in the school and the experience has been amazing. She is so happy and comfortable with the school environment and I am more than satisfied with the programs that are offered to the students. I recommend this school."

"This is a wonderful school with great teachers. Some parents are just lazy and they don't keep their kids on track. If your child can follow the rules and do homework, they will excel!"

"this middle school is excellent. The teacher are fantastic. Thankfully they push the kids to do their best. Detention isn't a problem as long as your child follows the rules."

"It's a very good school, contrary to the last comment. You only get detentions for 3 missed homework assignments. I've been to a few different schools and Schuylkill Valley is definitely the best. As a former student of the school I Highly recommend it. I had some of the best moments of my life in that school."
