"All of the faculty and staff at Housatonic Valley Regional High School make themselves very available for the students whether it be before school, during school or after school. The teachers are willing to spend extra time with students falling behind in the classroom studies so they are able to catch up to the other students. The teachers that teach at HVRHS were chosen very carefully by the head of their specific major. Hundreds of teachers apply each year and very few of them meet the high expectations that this school holds for their teachers. They only want the best learning environment for their students in order for them to succeed."

"Housatonic Valley Regional High School is a very unique school because all of the students create close bonds with one another. There is not one student who isn't looked out for by another. Everyone is treated with the upmost respect. It is very empowering to walk down the halls of a school and know you will never be alone. I would choose this school again if I could do it all over because HVRHS has shaped to who I am today."

"Students who are highly motivated and self-directed get a lot out of this school. Those who fall in the middle range can falter and be overlooked."

"For a public high school, you're gonna get a typical high school experience. There are plenty of events and pep rallies that students get pumped up for, and attendance at sports games (especially hockey) is pretty impressive. It's pretty small, but that also means that you'll never be without a friend. By the time it's over, you'll be ready to get out of there but I've made some pretty solid memories."

"At Housy, it really depends on which teachers you get. I've had some really great teachers that are passionate about the topics they're teaching, and I've also had teachers that will never offer help and tell kids to Google how to do certain math problems instead of teaching the kids themselves. Your best bet is to take honors classes, because H kids get more respect."
