"I have two children that attend school in Atoka. I have been very pleased with their teachers. The facility is in terrible shape, but they recently passed a school bond to build a new elementary school."

"What a difference a year can make! Our classrooms are to capacity which is a testimony to the quality of education and changes that were needed to make our school on top again. If we can get a new school building we will be unstoppable! Love Atoka Elementary School!!!"

"I think the teachers are extremely cliquish. Parents are really discouraged from being involved at all.I have tried to be very involved and feel as though I were a nuisance or bother, parents arent allowed in the classroom period. The doors on the classrooms are kept locked so there is no open door policy or even watching how your child's teaching methods are. You are allowed certain intervals ( each teacher has a 30 minute block) in which to call and speak w your child' teacher each day. I work and can't allot a time each day that I can call them. Lord knows they have no qualms about calling a paren at work. I thought the new principal would help but it actually seems worse than before to me. Very disappointed. Victory Life Academy is closing this yr so we are out of options unfortunately."

"I agree that the bulilding is very old and needds much improvement ( A new school)But the building is not it's only problem ! My Child attened there for her 2nd 3rd and 4th grade year and I was very disappointed ! I found that most of Teachers to be very clickish and the most popular Teachers taught the most popular kids , I feel this is doing an injustice to the students because they do not learn to interact with children of every race or finacial status!! I feel sorry for the New Parents and students who attend school there ! The Teachers nor the Staff are very welcoming and quite snobby! I am thankful that there is a new Princapal this year maybe she can STOP this nonsence and be an example to our Teacher , Staff and Students!!"
