"All three of my children graduated from Kennewick High and were involved in a multitude of activities. The teachers at Kennewick High are some of the hardest working educators around. People make a school and Kennewick has some of the best people around."

"The academic programs are top of the line, all extra cirricular actvities are available, and parent can get deeply involved. School spirit is a little lacking though."

"There are some excellent programs at Kennewick High School. If your child is a decent student I highly recommend the IB program there. The teachers and counselors associated with that program are the best in the buiding. The band and orchestra programs are also very fine although the quality of the student musicians in the Tri-Cities area tend to be poor. The team sports are also pretty good. The parent support is good, but its a small group of parents that provide the most support. There is drug use among the middle and poorer kids. The open houses are poorly attended and the principal's leadership is lacking."

"As parent of a student currently attending KHS, I along with my husband, recently attended a school function, we were dismayed at the apparent lack of school spirit. As we walked up and down the halls, we noticed there were no bright or vivid school colors, no up-coming sporting events advertised or splattered artistically around, nothing that conveyed a sense of school spirit or teamwork between faculty and students. Such an unpleasant and depressing learning facility! I have found much of the problems with this school are the simple facts that the staff members are unwilling to let these young adults be treated as such,as with the dress code. Yes, our kids need rules to follow to learn to productive, happy citizens, but they don't need their individuality hacked up by The 'London' Clothing Butcher!"
