"My two children have attended Mountain School for the last two years. Mountain School is a charter school and excels in many areas the public school lacks in. This school is very small in comparison to the local public schools. Every teacher at Mountain School is dedicated to teaching a broad curriculum, with math, reading, and writing also at its forefront. Mountain School gives students a progressive type of education that cannot be obtained at most public schools. As a teacher myself, Mountain School provides students with critical thinking activities like Odessey of the Mind and many 'hands on' experiences through numerous field trips (five or six per year, in comparison to one or two at most schools). The success of Mountain School not only comes from its involved and motivated teachers, but also the level of commitment from its parents. At Mountain School parent involvement is a must!"
