"As a current student at Heritage, I can not help but speak great things for this school. I began here last year, and everyone greeted me with open arms and hearts, and were so accepting. The previous post mentions several groups that have gone to school with each other since kindergarten, but I do have to disagree with the "cliquey-ness" point. Coming from a nearby public school with well distinguished "in-crowds", Heritage has zero exclusive circles. Academic wise, I've always been in the top of my class. HCA offers a rigorous college prep curriculum that I've really enjoyed. Most importantly, the presence of God can be felt coming in the front doors, with the bubbly front office staff, and smiling students in the hallways. This is, in my opinion, the greatest school in Fort Collins, and if you want your child to graduate well-educated, with a strong relationship with Christ, Heritage Christian is the place to enroll!!"

"I was a student at HCA for a few years in junior high and high school. The teaching staff and administration is wonderful: with small class sizes, they take the time to get to know each and every student. The facility is manageable: with little to no windows, you feel like you walk into an incubator at 8am and then leave back into the world at 3. The curriculum is preparatory: the art of taking notes and learning in a lecture-type classroom setting is similar to what you see in college. The students, however, are my biggest complaint. There is a distinct cleave between those who have been attending since kindergarten (and parents are either teachers or on the school board) and the rest of the student body. At Heritage, social circles are incredibly inclusive. Popularity contests are an issue. My one hesitation in recommending this school would be preparing your child for a school that has just as many -- if not more -- social issues than your typical public school."

"Heritage Christian Academy is more than just a school. Here is where lives are impacted in many ways; to show God's light in these kiddos and this world. The teachers, administrators, staff, students, parents and anyone who doesn't fit in one of those categories are like family to us. I have seen great triumphs and great tragedies befall families of this school and other families come around to support; whatever the needs. My son came to HCA as a 1st grader and now is in 7th grade and I am very happy to say he will graduate from here with life-long friends. My daughter started pre-k and she too will follow her brothers footsteps through HCA. It's not just a school; it's God's love in action. Thank you HCA for all you do!"

"We relocated to the area from a small, rural town. It was culture-shock for our daughter, then an eighth-grader. She is an only child, quiet, reserved and studious. She had been in Gifted & Talented program since grade 2. For two years, we tried to make a go of it in public school. Our formerly happy, competent and flourishing daughter was foundering, lonely, failing to thrive in any way. We believe God led us to Heritage Christian Academy. Our daughter is in her second year at HCA where she has she found the strength, guidance, faith and community she needed to be restored. We are very grateful to everyone at HCA."

"We moved to Fort Collins earlier this year (2013) and I toured/researched numerous private and public schools in the area before deciding on Heritage. I selected Heritage because of the joy and genuine love for learning I saw in the children attending. The genuine caring, respect and admiration the students have for the staff (and vice versa) is unlike anything I have ever seen before. My daughter has flourished at Heritage and has transformed from a child who was indifferent about school to a child who dreads summer vacation because of how much she misses being at school. Administration went above and beyond to help her get caught up academically because she was 2 years behind in math. They created a special program (at no extra cost) to help get her caught up and with extra tutoring and summer school, she should be joining her classmates in math classes this upcoming school year. She was previously a B/C student and loves school so much she works harder and is now averaging A's and B's. Heritage isn't just a school, it's a nurturing environment and special community made up of staff and parents that work towards creating a happy, fulfilling educational experience."
