"Most teachers remembered me from freshman year all the way through senior year. They are all very approachable and very helpful with their subjects."

"The Teachers at Ida S. Baker High school are great. There are a few here and there that don't but in all their potential but the majority of them go above and beyond. There are many teachers at the school that don't get enough credit, they put in the long hours and change lives on a daily basis and are underappreciated and under paid."

"Most teachers at this school are very hands on and interactive with students. However there are some that choose to just sit at their desks and not help students when they ask for help. overall we have hardworking teachers at Ida S. Baker."

"I used to help out a Spanish teacher almost every day after school grading and helping redecorate her classroom. Those days my father and stepmother at the time weren't very happy and the home environment wasn't so great so I liked to stay in school with Mrs. Gomez since it was her first year teaching there. I am very grateful to her and I still keep in contact. She is Colombian as well as me, so we could relate a lot. Also, I met my best friend the first week of freshman year here and we still talk to each other even though we are literally on the opposite of the country (She lives in NY and I live in NV)."

"When I first started my Freshman Year at Ida S. Baker High School, there was no place like it, there wasn't a single school that I would have rather been at. As the years progressed it became ordinary, not so special anymore, the pep rallies changed, there was no more fighting for a better experience it seemed to be all based on academics and attendance, while I do believe that these things are important they seemed to become overwhelming. With my Senior Year coming to and end I can't wait to be gone, doesn't every senior get to that point? I don't blame the school because they are just following rules and regulations, however high school can be a struggle for many students and we need to be able to express ourselves."
