"Mariner Middle School is a great school, there used to be allot of fights, but after the new administration, MMS has gotten alot more strict. The teachers there are great but really the administration is ruining the school all the students are trying to transfer and leave but other than the new administration the school is GREAT"

"I am a student in Mariner Middle's Gifted program. I am now an eighth grader and have attended MMS since my sixth grade year. Their gifted program is excellent; i greatly enjoy my teachers and their classes. This year in science we have done so many experiments that have helped me understand the lessons more. I love doing experiments and I can guarantee that my friends at other schools do not get to do half of the experiments that I get to. I also love the programs they have afterschool. I am involved in the chess club, odyssey of the mind, national junior honor society, chorus and drama. I also play sports. This year my volleyball and basketball teams did really well. I love going to Mariner Middle and I will be sad leaving at the end of this year."

"Mariner Middle is a great school for children! They are heavily involved in extra curricular activities and their teachers are very devoted to student learning. Both my children attend and they both enjoy their teachers and friends made here."

"Mariner Middle exceeds their reputation! They are an amazing school that focuses on student growth and learning. Last year, my child attended Gulf Middle and that school was so heavily focused on passing the FCAT , my child was drilled with FCAT only. Mariner Middle takes a much better approach by teacher all aspects of a subject, not simply what will be tested on the state exam. While their school grade may be lower than our previous school (and I'm not sure why), Mariner Middle is, by far, the best middle school in this zone."

"Mariner Middle is an excellent school with top notch programs. Last year, during the 2008-2009 school year, two of their teachers were named Teacher of the Year. This award recognizes them as the top teachers in the entire Lee County school district. While the school does have a higher average of ESE students, they also have a fully developed Gifted program, which my child is a part of. Their teachers invest their full time and energy into the school and I have never seen a more dedicated staff. I know my daughter is in safe hands every time she steps off the bus and enters their campus."
