"Meadowbrook has come a long way from where it was in the past. About 95% of the staff is here for the kids. There is always that 5% in every school that thinks of this profession as just a job to make money. To work at Meadowbrook is a challenge, but if it wasn't then I don't think I would feel the gratification in the strides that our students make in the education, attitudes, and their overall development. To ensure the success of these adolescents three things must be in place to make this possible. 1.) The teacher must be wiling to bend over backwards, work hard and set high standards for their students. 2.) Students must be accountable for their actions whether it is discipline or academic and must work hard to be successful. 3.) Parents have to be involved in their child s education and not expect the teacher to be able to be the only factor in their child s education. With all three things in place I believe a child s success will not be left to chance and our society as a whole will benefit."

"Please stop removing my posts. Donot put your kids in this school!!!Especially if you are concerned with their safety and want them to stay out of gangs. This school is horrible. Principal does not take complaints seriously. Call the central office and you are immediately on the blacklist. Your child will suffer even more. The atmosphere is oppressive. Some teachers are allowed to play rap music with offensive lyrics in their rooms while the children are trying to learn. The performances are a joke. Students and employees are loud and rowdy. I had the misfortune to attend one and the vice principal was only standing by the door talking to a student. Think how much overtime that cost taxpayers for someone to stand around and talk. They have failed their state accountability ratings for the 6th year in a row. Is this the only alternative low income single parents in this area have? Even more important why is this school still open? I would rather You become a threat to them when you complain. Don't count on central office for support neither. They are in meetings all day and cannot be bothered to address the taxpayers from where their salaries originate."

"My son has attended his first year @ Meadowbrook Middle this school year and I am proud so say that he enjoyed school there, he was safe, and the staff holds a unfiied front of strength and structure, which they try in instill in their young students as well. They ladies in the office were always smiling and Mrs. Washington has never been to busy to discuss my son's educational future. Thank you Kimi"

"This school has excellent staff. The principle has really gone over and beyond the call of duty to ensure the best for her students. The over all culture is very diverse with little of all, like the really world. My child has gone to this school now for 3 years and has improved since 5th grade. The school needs more parent involvement to make Meadowbrook a success. Give our future all the tool to succeed in the world today/ Kari Haney"
