"Many people complain about how easy this school is and how they need to move their kids to a better school such as Desert Mountain. To be quite honest, I think this school is amazing if you are smart. I am currently on a plan to graduate with 56 credits. Most of the teachers are exceptional, with a few bad ones here and there. So if you are sitting here complaining about what an awful school this is, obviously you are not smart enough to realize the potential the school has for your child."

"I totally disagree with the last two posts. I think Fountain Hills High School has very competent teachers with high expectations. My son graduated with honors last year from this high school and is attending a state university on scholarship. He is making high grades and credits his success to his many teachers at Fountain Hills High School who prepared him well. Parents need to remember that it is the student's responsibility to study, complete assignments, follow directions, and work hard in order to do well. Students who don't generally won't do well no matter where they go to school. Every school has its faults, so it is up to the student to make the school experience a good one. Thank you to the staff at Fountain Hills High School for all you do for your students!"

"Before anything else, I would like to state that we love living in Fountain Hills and really tried to like the school system here...but we just can't. My oldest son graduated from this school in 2010 and my other son is currently a Sophomore. There are a few good teachers here but a large majority of them are incompetent. We had to move my son to a different Engligh teacher after the first semester because the teacher was just deplorable and showed bias towards certain individuals. I actually brought it up to the counselor, the Principal, and even the Superintendent via email..never even got a response back. We will be moving our son to Desert Mountain next year in the hopes that this is a better school since it's in Scottsdale. The reviews aren't too bad either. Please do yourself and your kids a favor by not having them attend this school. I've never been as disappointed in a school and its staff as I have with Fountain Hills High School."

"I would have to agree with the previous poster. My wife and I are also considering moving our son to a different school. It looks like Desert Mountain High School is the closest one to Fountain Hills. It just seems like the current Principal, Tom Lawrence, is not keeping a tight leash on his teachers, if at all. The teachers just do what they want and their students suffer for it. The level of education that the students get here are very sub-standard compared to other schools around the country. It's als true that the school is more concerned about their Football program than anything else, including kids' educations. Ugh!"

"The special education department is deplorable. The students do not get the right services because the money goes to administration. The director of special education for the district is just as bad. He will tell you want you want to hear, but little or no action. They need to clean house. This district needs to stop wasting money by paying for such things as vice superintendant within a district that only has 4 campuses and is shrinking! That money could go to better use."
