"I'm a graduate of St. Rita High School in Chicago, Illinois. I've had 3 sons graduate from East and it is a first class school: academically; socially; and, filled with educational and social activities that you can't imagine. If you're a student and can't succeed at East, you've got some kind of problem that is unique to you. Great school; great administration; great faculty; great sports programs; great extracurriculer activities. Happy to talk with anyone about the school. john petrulis 708-995-5752"

"during the latest Newsweek ranking of the best high schools in America, LWE was ranked in the top 500. Very few schools from Illinois made this cut and this assessment was made based on multiple criteria. There's certainly an emphasis on student success. Communication with parents is top knotch. I'm impressed with the curriculum for "potentially gifted" students. I'd like to see a better effort towards career development and the development of comprehensive career pathways."

"After 6 years in this system we found there to be a profound lack of leadership, poor quality of teaching and an inability to connect with and protect vulnerable students. There also seems to be a gross misunderstanding of basic disciplinary tools and technique. The atmosphere condoned by this administration harbors a perfect breeding ground for unbridled student harassment."

"You can't match this school when it comes to teachers and staff that care about the educational needs of the students."

"To sum all this up, families have moved to the Frankfort area just so their children can attend Lincoln-Way East HS."
