"Every year on the first day of school, teachers try their best to get to know their students on a one-to-one basis. It starts out with them remembering your name and as time goes on, they try to know you on a more personal level. If you ask any teacher, "no question is a dumb question" and bullying is to never be tolerated. Lesson plans range from inside the classroom to outside the classroom and technology usage, as well as student knowledge, is effectively used to help students grasp various concepts."

"The teachers all have varying teaching styles, but they are all very knowledgeable and most are willing to help. Once you figure out how to get the most out of each class, passing is a breeze. Almost, if not all teachers offer help certain days after school so that you can review lessons with them, or with other students. Grading is consistent, and they are fair when it comes to grades. So, if the entire class does poorly, many teachers will spend extra time reviewing the work and adding a curve to a test. While I can't speak for the teachers I've never had, all the ones I have encountered are very bright in the subjects they teach and are dedicated to helping their students succeed."

"Everyone is usually very open to talk to, whether you ride in the same "social circle" or not. You can be friends with someone who loves to shop and go out while being friends with a quiet guy who enjoys comics. As long as someone isn't going out of there way to be disliked by everyone, all walks of life are accepted by the general student population. A lot of students are involved in the school in terms of clubs, but there is no pressure to join anything if you aren't comfortable. Many students will walk to town, which is about a 10 minute walk from the school to hang out or go out to eat. Most peer pressure that I have seen is positive, where students are pushing others to improve themselves. However, when negative peer pressure is seen there are usually people beside you to back you up and stand your ground. There is a lot of ethnic and racial diversity so it's not hard to fit in, and there are many open people who are respected for their sexual orientation or gender identity."

"Teachers with different teaching styles might be confusing at first, but it is easy to get used to them and they're style of grading. The curriculum is very diverse with many subjects available. There are at least 5 choices of a course per state requirement, and plenty of other pure elective classes that you can take if they interest you. There are also alternatives like Brookdale Community College courses, that give you college credits as long as you pass the class. The schedule process is easy, as you are called down to the guidance office and the guidance counselor will tell you your options and give you the list of what you can pick from. The workload varies depending on which classes you take, but no classes will require more than 2 hours of homework as long as you stay focused while doing it. Teachers always schedule days after school to be an aid in studying or understanding lesson concepts. There is also National Honors Society tutoring by upperclassmen to help you out with subjects if you need. All classes are fairly popular depending on your interests, but a good one to take is AP Microeconomics/Macroeconomics to fulfill your financial literacy requirement, as it is a challenging yet rewarding course with a great teacher as of right now."

"I like the fact that every day of the week, there is always a club or organizational meeting that students can attend. Making friends is a lot easier than it is said to be, considering Lead for Diversity (LFD) and other clubs are utilized to help form bonds between incoming freshmen each and every year. No one is afraid to ask for help if they need it and everyone in the guidance office has always done their best to support the students."
