"I love this school because I can trust my kids with their teachers. I volunteer often and I know that the teachers at this school truly care about their students. They often stay late to prepare for the next day and I've never heard them complain. All those that complain about this school aren't complaining when they drop their kid off and sit at home to do nothing."

"I have a previous post for this school and I am going to post another. It's day 3 of my daughter in Kindergarten, she's smiling when she get's home and I can honestly see the change in her in just 2 days of being in school. Last year the fundamentals of "going to school" and "learning" were taughter to her by an AMAZING teacher in Transitional K and I am certain this year will be just as amazing for my daughter with her Kindergarten teacher. The teachers at this school CARE and treat our children as if they were their own. These teachers cannot buy items for OUR children out of their salary. It shouldnt be expected by US as parents. Get involved. I know there have been some horrible reviews on this site of this school, but please form your own opinion, don't just read a blog or one persons experience. The teachers walk in every single day with a smile on their face and walk the little ones out with a smile. Imagine as a parent having to control and teach 25+ 4,5,and 6 year olds daily? It must be exhausting,BUT they still have a smile. Cheers to a great school year and I couldn't be happier about the teachers my angel has had the past 2 years.Get involved and make a positive change."

"I'm sorry,if there was no stars i would of put that instead of 1. This school isn't even half of what a star is. Parents, your child would be suffering if they went to this school. I spent sleepless nights afraid to return back to school.I was afraid of the teachers. They put so much weight on my shoulders that i could barely stand. Some of you might think I'm someone who just didn't experience anything when i went to this school. No. I've never been to a school this bad. My middle school was GREAT. McGarvin guys. Go there. My high school, well,I just started my freshman year. It's awesome overall. But this horrifying school haunts me once in a while. The teachers, this one specific one makes me so mad when i think about this school. Stupin. That was what her name was. She made my experience like I'm living a horror movie. Kids that are 5-11 shouldn't face this much pain. I thought elementary was supposed to be fun and exciting. I guess not. This wasn't fun at all. I'm glad i got out of there. Class of 12. 2 years ago and i still haven't forgiven this school for what they've done to me. There was a few nights where i cried. I stayed up late because i didn't want to go to school. Im done"

"I have all the rights to complain and judge this school. I enrolled in this school on September 2006. I'm now going in 9th grade. I'm going to be in a whole different district. So i'm going all out. Don't worry. I'll go after my middle school too. These schools. Like what the person below me says. These teachers are so disrespectful. I would want to punch them. I did have the same teacher as the person below me. Jamie S. I would give out her last name, but lets just say im alittle too kind to do so. I remember during free time,i was talking to the students on my table. She looks over at us and called us all up one by one. She was the reason why i failed most of my tests. I did have sleepless nights. Not wanting to see her face in the morning. It ruined me. I wanted to transfer out of school. That horrific teacher gave me nightmares. That STUPIN teacher. All of my 5th grade class hated her. I don't ever want to look back and see her as a memory. She was my nightmare. She was someone i hope i would never come across I just cant believe i went through so much pain only being 10.It felt like someone shot me and i couldn't get up till the end.I hate you Jamie so much.I hope the worst 4 u"

"Leo Carillo Elementary School is not great! I am parent and has a toddler that goes to the school and oh god the teacher and teacher aides are unfriendly and unprofessional. I personally witnessed and experienced it today for the first time on my first visit to the campus. The staff dressed in home clothes and they yelled at me for going being too close to my son. I don't feel like the staff cares about the student but merely just their paycheck. I wish I had more income so I can enroll my toddler son in a private pre-school. I think the pay pre-school should have more caring and attentive teacher and staff helpers. I hope I am not the only parents having these experiences. I just wish the principal and vice principal review their staff more often and more selective in their hiring practicing. I just wish my toddler son get a quality education with caring teachers and supportive teacher aides because the future of America is depending on the youth of today. I hope my comments are read and I pray their will be action to correct the problems. Our Children is our society's and country's most precious resources for a better tomorrow and future. Please select qualify staff! Thank You!"
