"This is a top notch school. The principal of Bell, Mrs. Jones, is very innovative and listens to parent and community input. For example, she, with some incredibly dedicated teachers, implemented the iSTEM (Innovation, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) program (kids are selected based on an application process). This program, along with a challenging (separate) honors program, puts Bell near the top for middle school rigor in Jefferson County. It is certainly one of a kind. The teachers are dedicated and work with a broad, not 'pre-selected' group of easy to teach kids, making them able to improve the capability of a vast range of learners. The school environment is very good, and our son has had no problems adjusting. In fact, he enjoys learning more than ever. I believe Bell had some issues 15 years ago but those are long gone, it seems."

"I've been impressed with Bell's ability to challenge students of all types. Rigor has recently improved with a stronger honors program and now the introduction of the iSTEM option program for all students. A great environment, low levels of bullying and really strong teachers."

"Not a great school. Not a good school. Average all the way. Kids are rude. Dress code is loose. Parent meeting to draw in prospective parents was abysmal."

"This is a very impessive school and I have learned A LOT from all of my teachers and staff. The staff is GREAT. The only thing that I don't like about my school is how the vise princaple takes over and acts like the princable doesn't "run the show". But other than that, if you are looking to enroll your kid at this school you are making the right choice."

"I am so impressed with how much this school goes above and beyond to assure a student succeeds. From clubs to literacy they are on track for the 21st Century learner. They offer mentors to help students from a nearby retirement community, students at School of Mines mentor and their new mission of 'Literacy..your rope to the Summit' is outstanding. Their honor program will prepare any college bound student the tools to succeed. Teachers work countless hours of their own to help students succeed. Parents are always welcome to help or observe classrooms. Bell office has a very welcoming enviroment."
