"My career at Georgetown High School has been the most unpredictable roller coaster of self discovery imaginable. The emotions I associate with these past few years cover just about the entire range of human cognitive responses known to mankind; trust me, Niche, I kid you not. There were times when I hated my school with a burning passion so intense I could have probably bottled it up and sold it as a very angry electricity alternative; but, there were also times where I loved my school, and felt the deepest respect in it's unforgettable aura. Entering the adolescent factory commonly referred to as "high school" for the first time, I was immediately placed on the metaphorical assembly line and given a label, as were the rest of my peers. Those labels stayed with us day in and day out, posing almost as a more modern--yet invisible--scarlet letter. Not unlike a majority of students assimilating into the final frontier of secondary education, I tried my best to blend in with the crowd: I wore the right shoes, said the right things, kissed the right people, and loved every minute of it! Right? No; wrong. So, so, SO wrong. I was manipulated by the small school stigma and choked by the fear of oppression that tagged along with it. I kissed boys because I wanted to kiss girls; I read Shakespeare when I wanted to read Emerson; I drank because I wanted to die. But, eventually there came a day where I grew sick of being twisted and molded like some old Play-Doh; so, I got my butt out of bed, ripped off that goddamn label and shook the school to it's core--the ultimate test of societal aptitude. I kissed girls because I wanted to kiss girls; I read Emerson because I wanted to read Emerson; and I tossed the bottles in a dumpster because I wanted to breathe. And it just so happens to be that this display of nonconformity was just what Georgetown needed, because for the longest time it had worn a label of it's own, too. All it had needed was a spark, and I was a blazing inferno."

"I love this school. Lots of people talk about "bad" things in the school, but overall they are very minor issues. I would never go to another school if I had the opportunity. I love it here."
