"The principal-intern, Stephanie Brant is excellent. She is caring, involved, sensible. Already we see little touches that make the school better. We wish she could be the permanent principal for this school, then maybe we'll see more improvements. The teachers are mostly good, though their focus is more on the children who are getting left behind, thus the smart kids are the ones who get left behind. Highly gifted center is like a school within the school, which may be good or bad depending on which perspective you take."

"The teachers could stand to have a refresher course in how to deal with parents."

"The new principal Zabetakis, who came in in 2006, does not really take time out to speak to the parents. When you finally get a hold of her she will rush you 'because she has another meeting'. She does not even seem to know the students' names when she meets them in the hallways (and she's been here over a year now!).I hope that the school's standing and the students' performance do not suffer as a result of this principal's inability to inspire. The rest of the staff who have been there for years is wonderful."

"My son has been in this school for only a 1 1/2 month and is very unhappy. He receives constant negative feedback from his teachers. Just recently he was sent home with a negative note safety pinned to his shirt. I was appalled by this unprofessionalism. My husband and I have decided to take him out immediately. I will never recommend this school to anyone."
