"My son has completed two years at edu prize and loves it! To me, that speaks volumes! With all the various start time options, and considering the size of the school, it makes sense that there's "no longer a waitlist". Besides, parents have so many options these days. If I wanted my son in a pure academic, non creative, minimal school spirit school then he'd be at the top public school in Gilbert like some of our neighbors kids. I can't say we'll keep him here until HS but for now he's excelling and academically challenged enough to keep him engaged as an above average student. I like they are focused on core standards and are working hard to adjust learning plans as the state adjusts requirements. No school is perfect, and to be perfectly honest, I wouldn't want my child at a perfect school anyways."

"1st red flag there s no longer a waitlist to get in. After 9 yrs here, I ve never seen so many students, experienced teachers and staff (1 principal included) leave. Ask for a teacher list and how long they ve been w/ Edu-prize. It s not the same school it used to be. School culture has shifted as high achieving students moved to more challenging schools. NO more (20:1) small classes NO more multi-age classrooms (2 yrs w/same teacher), and NO more superior curriculum. Things started going downhill a few years ago when changes were made for the Common Core curriculum. They also expanded to offer high school and changed to a for profit school. Change can be good, but it s been a mess. Sadly, the students are guinea pigs during this trial & error period. They rely on iReady diagnostic software to bring students current with state standards, but it s not working well. Students who didn t show much growth were given a 2nd and 3rd chance to take the final test just so they could improve their scores. The school is proud of their technology, but that just means more screen time instead of teacher time. Back in the day, Edu-Prize used to be one-of-a-kind. Not anymore."

"Been here for 3 years. The school has a lot to offer (on-line math/reading program that adapts to each child's level; Rosetta Stone; Another computer based program that will quiz you by a specific book). HOWEVER none of these programs are really being implemented properly. You'll have to beg to get the access (if you happen to even know about these programs) and then you're on your own. Teachers don't monitor it. iClass equals GameClass. Most kids draw or play. They learned some Spanish the 1st year (the teacher was fluent) and managed to forget it all the 2 following years.Every year my kid gets tested to be 2-3 years ahead in math, they place her in the 1 grade above hers class (math only) and by the summer she regresses to the point I have to reteach the grade to grade curriculum (literally). Summers aren't fun for us. We've only been lucky once where homework was corrected. Normally a parent volunteer will just put a sticker on a corner. The Aims tests are performed by the regular teacher (no admin supervision) who helps each child who struggles. So the scores are fake. This school is a lot of fun though, so I do see how most children would love to come here."

"We have been at this school for six years and it was great until the director decided to open a high school. I don't believe the administration was neither ready nor fully knowledgeable about what that would entail. We gave it a try but we quickly saw a major amount of problems with the lack of extra curricular programs that most kids look forward to in high school. We tried to be patient but we conclude that the school is just too small and will never be able to give high school kids the opportunity to try new things like real sports ,art, music, and any number of things. We believe academics are number one, but we know our kids would benefit from being able to try new things. Sadly, we don't see Eduprize ever being able to compete with the larger, established high schools and that is why we won't be attending Eduprize next year. We also were very unimpressed with the online foreign language program. It seemed like a 'cost cutting' decision rather than what was in the best interest of students who want to learn a language. Also of major concern was the mass exit of most of the teachers and principal and dean of students. We conclude it's a very limited high school and mediocre."

"I couldn t be happier with EDUPRIZE! My daughter is in the 2nd grade PM TOPS iClass and started this year with low confidence and hated school prior to this year and NOW has amazing confidence in herself and doesn t want to miss a day of school! Her teacher, who has been there for over 9 years, has helped her to believe in herself and to develop a love for learning that will stay with her for an entire lifetime. What more could you want for your child? The iPad has complimented my daughter s learning and every day she hops in the car and has something she can't wait to tell me that she learned. The amount the kids have learned this year through innovative teaching never ceases to amaze me! Her teacher truly works to differentiate her teaching to meet each child s needs at their level! She encourages parent volunteers, is compassionate and kind, and makes everyone who enters the room feel welcomed and treasured. So, thank you EDUPRIZE for making this such a wonderful year for us! If you are fortunate enough to get into this school you should jump at the chance!"
