"South Valley is an amazing school! My daughter loves it here and she just transfered from another school and is in the 8th grade! She was very shy at first but, the children there are so nice and now she has many friends."

"Bottom line- schools can only do so much- parents should be held accountable. I have seen both ends of the spectrum across gusd. Stay in touch, stay informed, and stay on top of your child and thier work. Team up with your teachers , be a positive role model and your child will do well."

"I went to this school for sixth grade and half or seventh. I went half of seventh because I couldn't stand going here! It's a horrible school! I would advise a parent who is thinking about sending their child here to think twice. The kids who go here are horrible and don't care about the education they are recieving. The teachers are awesome but other then that it's a bad school. I hated being here. The school is the worst in Gilroy and the API scores aren't even good! I hated going here and I'm sure your child would to."

"South Valley has a great elective program. For a middle school, it's far beyond what most other area middle schools offer. The teachers really care about the kids, and it's obvious in the quality of my childs education that this was absolutely the best choice for our family. Don't be fooled by test scores, this is an excellent school. Specifically the excellerated science program and the art program. They even have digital photography. Our two kids have been more than happy to attend this school. We are proud of our choice to move here."
