"Gonzales High School does ok with the resources that it has. It is disapointing to see that the school districtcares more aboutI.D. cards, uniforms, and athletics more than the students education. When they try to provide better education, administration goes about it all wrong."

"I graduated from here recently and found most of the honors classes interesting, but I don't think this school prepares you well for college. I'm also a little disappointed in unequal distribution of minorities in honors classes consider they are the majority."

"I was a graduate of Gonzales High School in 2006. While I do believe that the teacher's are doing a good job our administration is not up to par. The teacher's are unable to do their jobs efficiently because the administrators refuse to back them up. It's impossible to give students a descent education when all the attention is focused on unimportant details like i.d. cards and parking permits. There needs to be an emphasis on preparing students for the real world."

"The majority of the teachers do a great job and work with the students. The school district is in the process of going through a tremendous restructuring process which is a little difficult for the communtiy to accept. Many of the members of the community and the superintendent, ie school board are not seeing eye to eye on various issues. The music, art, and academic programs are good. The athletic program is in need of work at this time. We look forward to resolving these issues."

"The actuall teaching isn't that bad at Gonzales High School, really it's just the fact that people who are involved in things have absoloutly no time to do any of their work because the classes are shorter, we don't have homeroom to do homework anymore, and sports and things aren't over until late usually. So it's either stay up until about 1:30 doing homework every night or have low grades in most of your classes. A friend of mine used to go to a school where they had A and B days. Classes are split in half so you get more time to learn things and a whole extra day to do homework which sounds like a great idea to me. It would probably bring up TAKS score too, becuase students would have more time to learn and grasp onto the information."
