"All three of my children attended OWS. Which, transitioned from an intermediate to elementary school post redistricting. Both admin and teachers have been responsive and supportive of my children's learning abilities. Well rounded instruction in academics with an emphasis on state requirements."

"My child had an amazing year at Oak Woods. She loved her teacher and was pushed to excel. The principal and assistant are approachable and friendly. I am somewhat disappointed in the p.e. program. I just felt like there was way to much "PE recess" and not enough skills and sportsmanship taught. The music teacher is excellent and the kids respond well to her. I wish more parents would help out. It was always the same group of us doing most of the work."

"Overall I have concerns about the school having 18 rules. We need to remember they are only children. I have not been happy with the focus of resources used within the classroom. Based on my experience teachers are textbook driven and have taken the fun out of hands on learning. My child spent the whole year learning Science out of a textbook rather than completing Science experiments. Studies show Science should be 80% hands-on."

"As with most all school situations it can be difficult sometimes to get your child the individual attention he/she deserves but teachers and administrators are quite responsive when you communicate clearly. Overall it is okay but there is still no substitute for good home training."
