"My grandson is a 4th grader at Granby Elementary. Ever since he started school there in kindergarten, he has had wonderful teachers and personal attention. The music program under Tanner Denne is marvelous. The Minnesingers program is outstanding. I'm glad my grandson has an quality school in Granby!"

"My child went to Preschool at Granby Elementary and it basically taught him to fear school. It was the same thing everyday - no curriculum really. Just markers and paper and boring. :( I wish I would have researched more before choosing Granby Elementary just because it is the main school in town."

"We experienced this school prior to an alternative charter school also in Granby. We had transportation challenges due to a job setback and other financial pressures. Principal called on day one and explained what they COULDN'T do to help us. One month later, district overruled and provided a solution that allowed our kids to return to school after one month at home. This is a very corporate and primarily budget-minded (vs. student-minded) institution. We all understand budget cutbacks, but the alternative school in the area is also subject to these and has a much better attitude and approach in spite of the facts. Would not recommend."

"I was a student at GES 02- 05. I started going to GES in 1st grade and I thought it was a great school until I got into 4th grade. In 4th grade there was a student in my class who had some mental disabilities and she sometimes would have a mental breakdown during class. One day the student lost her cool and started screaming in the middle of class. My teacher went over to the student, picked her up and threw her against the wall screaming at her. Some of my friends and myself knew this wasn't right and went to tell our principal about the incident and the principal ignored us and didn't do anything about it. Now I may only be a sophomore in high school but I know that it is against the law for a teacher to harm one of their students. Would you send your child to a school where they could be harmed by a person that is supposed to protect and watch over them? I wouldn't. That is why I rate Granby Elementary school a 2 out of 5 stars."

"My child had a wonderful kindergarten and first grade experience at Granby Elementary. The teachers collaborated and worked together to challange my child without adding stress. Great communication between teachers and parents."
