"This school is especially unique because students are able to attend college classes while they are still in high school, and the school pays for it. This is huge for students transferring these credits to an expensive university in the following years."

"I have enjoyed my education at this school. It has always been interesting and I have learned a lot. However, despite the apparent "quality" that I have enjoyed in some classes, I do not feel so confident in mathematics and the sciences. I don't feel like I learned what I need to know to succeed as an engineer (my career of choice). I do not feel this shortcoming in mathematics is from a lack of effort from either me, the student, or the teacher, but rather from the program. For math, the system has finally changed from the "IMP" or integrated mathematics program, to a more traditional system. The biggest problem with the prior program was the lack of algebra in the program. It was not until I started AP Calculus this semester that I started to really understand, or even really learn, algebra. For the sciences on the other hand, it was the teacher. I learned only the basics in two of the most important courses I took, physics and chemistry. I earned good grades in said courses, but do not think that the teaching style into the course really taught me what I need to know. However, my school does have one big advantage. My school allows juniors and seniors to attend the community college next door at no charge as long as the student is taking legitimate courses at the college. Therefore, I must give my school four stars, simply because of the opportunities that it allows for students in academics. My earlier statements might reflect that I did not learn much attending this school, but in fact I have learned much in some fields such as history, literature, and foreign language. The school has prepared me for college in one way or another and although I did not learn everything I needed in math and science at the high school level, the school gave me an easy opportunity to fix this as the staff also fixed the problem for future students."

"Union Colony has changed me for the better. When I first came to Union Colony, I was very shy, bervous, and very held back. As I got to know the students and teachers, I opened up pretty quickly. The teachers are very personable and the students are great people to have as close friends."

"All of the teachers at Union Colony are very nice, outgoing, caring, knowledgeable, and respectable. The teachers care a large amount about the students' education. They always make sure the students understand the concepts of what they are teaching. The teachers never cease to be there for a student when a student is struggling with anything from school or home or any part of they're lives."
