"I like the administration at my school, and there are certainly enough activities to get involved in so there's no way for a student to say they couldn't find anything they were interested in. I just wish my peers had more optimistic, forward-thinking attitudes or were pushed more to have such. It's easier to feed off of that kind of energy rather than always feeling like the one who's "smarter", "more worried about his/her future", or "more involved"."

"I've had an amazing experience with a few teachers, and quite the opposite with a handful. There's definitely favorites apparent in the classroom, and when teachers are biased towards a certain point of view they make it known. However, the passionate ones do well with more-than-adequately preparing us for state-wide and national cumulative exams, and their passion makes it easier to get inspired."

"It wish Hampton Bays High School has a wider selection of classes, particularly art classes and electives along that line. It is a pretty small school but there are a lot of creative students. Also, the teachers are great, but unfortunately as a graduating student, I'm seeing a shift in the quality of teaching. Teachers just let students go off and do their own thing with not much direction and then when the assignment is turned in the grade is not good and the student is made to feel like they have failed when the teacher did little to help them. Communication is another area that needs to be improved because some teachers answer emails almost immediately while others don't check their emails again until the next day. They leave school and don't want to be connected to school activities. Or teachers contact you on the weekends about assignments being due, which is nice, but the weekend are our time..."
