"New Superintendent much more ethical than prevvious one, but still in a very economically depressed town with low education parents, many/most of whom do not demand much of school district."

"Great school with FANTASTIC teachers and administration, preparing us for the future. I wouldn't want to get my education anywhere else."

"This school district is all about facade....it saves money by 'eliminating' older experienced teachers who speak out against the current superintendent, eliminated NCA accreditation, so they wouldnt have to meet quality standards, eliminating HS guidance counselor and HS principal positions (they pay the superintendent extra money to do this job in addition to his own), having 'independent study' of required classes (8 kids share a book and answer some ditto sheets), not offering four years of HS english..., only offering one AP class, no computer instructor...'privitazing' ancillary employee positions of those who have spoken out against these administrative practices,...consistently decreasing MME and MEAP results as seen on this site,..meanwhile sending out press releases tooting their horn about how wonderful everything is here..."

"Well i happen to think that Harbor Beach schools have really gone down hill from years past. There is way to much control! the students need some kind of space and they don't get any! I know that the schools are trying to improve and keep the kids safe but somethings are just to much!"
