"Love the family atmosphere & where you get to know students & their families from feeder schools when you begin at McD. Tuition is too high is the downfall."

"I grew up in a pretty bad area so attending the local High School was not the best idea for me. Bishop McDevitt was the perfect place for me to attend. Not only did the school itself help me grow in my faith but it provided me with a better education. Had I attended the local High School I probably wouldn t be where I am today. The only thing that I wish their was more of at this facility was diversity. Bishop McDevitt is a predominantly white school. Regardless of it being a white school all cultures got along tremendously. I just wish there were cultural things dedicated to African Americans."

"There were some teachers (specifically English teachers) who made the entire experience complete worth it. If it weren't for them and the fact that I loved all of the girls on my cheerleading squad, I wouldn't have really enjoyed it. The spend incredibly too much time focusing on the wrong things and not enough about academics."

"Great academics, strong student-teacher relationships, and involvement in the community made my experience worthwhile. There were a million things I wanted to change about McDevitt as a student. (Getting your phone taken if it was in your pocket, warnings for detention for forgetting your textbook in your locker, the strict dress code that was enforced even on dress down days...) But looking back on those "strict" rules as now a first year college student, I've realized those private school rules were set in place to prepare students for the college setting and even the professional world. McDevitt teaches professionalism from day one, which is so crucial for someone who is looking to stand out in the working world. I mean, c'mom, what employer wants to hire someone constantly preoccupied by their phone, always forgetting materials necessary for the day, and cannot properly dress themselves for an interview?"

"McDevitt is an excellent school full of diversity and a mixing of socioeconomic groups all focused on the end goal of God. Although extiorly the school can be glorified, under the surface more aspects of it are found. Besides the innate favoritism for althletic stars and their paid off tuition, the school aspires to become a beacon for incoming students. On the academic side of things, the school is the right amount of challenging to form a person as a student. Although some teachers and their skills may be questionable, the academics at McDevitt provide a nice segway for students on their path to college. McDevitt is a great school for a student to flourish, but some of their motives and priorities causes an internal reputation to occur that may waver students."
