"The school was excellent we went on educational field trips, we were uniforms eveeryday expect on Fridays when we can dress down, I was able to interact with students and teachers. I made great friends and participated in cheerleading, flag girl, helped the homeless, fixed houses with habitat, was in chorus and went to different schools to perform."

"My school is very diverse and has students across the state of Connecticut. The people I have met and socialize with really help me get everything I can from this school and they are the reason why I enjoy my school."

"The teachers at my school took the time to make sure everyone understood the work and homework. No one left without knowing their assignments. There was afterschool tutors and the teacher stayed as well. Students helped other students as well."

"For the most part, some teachers do everything in their power for our students, but others make it seem as though all they want is a check and they don't care if a kid does well or not."

"I'm happy I went here for high school. Although it didn't feel like "a real high school" until my last year, I learned so much and had a great experience. Students always looked out for one another, even if you weren't necessarily friends. Teachers genuinely care about their students and always push their students to do their best. Since we're a small school, you get good relationships with your teachers (and students). Even though I graduated, I know I can turn to my teachers from HMTCA for anything. It's a very diverse school, which I loved; I learned a lot from the people around me. I took two Trinity College courses, a UCONN ECE course and a course at Capital Community College, all which transferred over. I feel prepared for college and the "real world" after attending HMTCA. I'd have to say the biggest problem was with the administration. Often times they felt unreasonable and not really seeing the students and their needs. (Example: Giving eighteen year old students "tickets" for "good behavior"- like we were six years old). However, since we were developing, I felt as though we had a lot of say and got to make our voices heard when dealing with some issues. We had so many great opportunities that many schools didn't get to have. This school has so many opportunities, but you definitely got out of it what you put in- it has a lot to offer! I'd recommend HMTCA to anyone."
