"The majority of teachers here do just what they have to do to get by, they are collecting a pay check and have no real interest in educating children. The administration accepts their attitude, and does not want to hear or help with any teacher/student problems. I wish I was able to send my children somewhere, anywhere else."

"My daughter is receiving a quality education, and enjoys going to school every day. To me, that says alot."

"My child has many learning disabilites and I find I am the one who has to make suggestions for the teachers. I feel the teachers should be coming to me with suggestion on how to help my child. Accomodations should be put in place and followed thru. However, I find the teacher do not go the extra mile to help and blame the child and lack of availability. I have been a resident for over 20 years. I have a college aged child who was academically advanced and for him the school was great. However, my special needs child has been struggling for years and I have had to fight for her every year."

"Parent involvement is not encouraged in this school at all, the majority of teachers I have interacted with in the three years my child has attended the middle school have treated me more like an enemy than someone they want to hear from or work with. I have had teachers disregard phone messages from me. I have had emails ignored. A great deal of the teachers refuse to use the wonderful tool of schoolnotes.com to communicate with parents and students. Last year my child was given a huge (all major subjects) cooperative project to do over Christmas vacation, it was turned in the day after vacation and the teachers took more than three months to grade it and return it! The principal talks up a storm in assemblies with parents, but exhibits poor leadership and a 'hands off' attitude when it comes to her teachers."
