"I am surprised upon reading negative reviews of Sacred Heart. I graduated from Sacred Heart and attend an elite university, for which I was well prepared (particularly due to SH's strong emphasis on humanities and writing which you do plenty of in college!). I had an extremely positive experience. Sacred Heart is a small nurturing environment, where teachers truly care about the well being of their students. The small size may limit course offerings but I feel it provided more opportunities that would not necessarily be easily attainable at a larger school. SH is unique in that there is a network of SH schools across the country and the world, so students can do exchanges. My best friend in college also attended a SH school, leading to an instant connection. We bonded immediately over our special SH traditions. Sacred Heart is a family. Looking back, I am so grateful I chose Sacred Heart."

"We had sent our daughter here believing the school would be a good fit. She enjoyed her first two years but as she got older class offerings became more restricted. Some classes seed to be offered every third year or so. Freshmen and seniors were in the same classes. This is not ok with me as teens mature differently. We took out daughter out!"

"I was pretty disappointed in the actual experience. I had visited and "shadowed" someone and decided to attend SH. But I quickly learned that things were not as they appeared. What a dissapointment. I transfered out and am now happily going to another local girls ` school."

"I went to Sacred Heart after several years at The Baldwin School and felt completely lost academically. The limited courses are poorly structured and unchallenging, there are zero resources available to students who are looking to advance their studies, guidance and preparation for the college application process is barely existent, and I found prioritization for certain areas of studies to be extremely irresponsible and misplaced. The only two foreign language options do not exceed an intermediate level. The only electives are a laughably unstructured "art" class and religion (which is limited only to Christianity and is also mandatory). Science classes are limited and influenced by religious/Christian fundamentalist persuasion. English teachers offer little depth or accuracy. Independent thought is not spoken of or encouraged. The girls who are put through this embarrassing, lazy, and unaccountable system are left severely underprepared for academic advancement. Don't waste your money here. Sacred Heart is a low-level public school with smaller classes at best."

"The administration is disorganized and offer virtually no assistance in the college application process. They cater to the cash and cross boundaries in their relationship with the girls. Your money is better spent on a larger school which will truly prepare these young ladies for college both academically and emotionally . The insulation of a tiny school is a rude awakening when arriving on a campus."
