"I had an overall okay experience at Gloucester High School. There were advance classes and dual enrollment classes so that it help advance me in my college career. There were daily struggles and confrontations but at the end of the day those moments weren't important and didn't truly impact my life."

"The school has average food, and the education overall is about the same level, unless you know what you're doing. I would suggest going to another public high school if possible, but it's the only one in the county, so unless you wanted to go to Yorktown to go to high school, you'll have to settle with what you're given."

"If you can go anywhere else, you should. It seems like this school only gets worse as the years go on. Funding gets cut, classes disappear, corners are cut, and the students suffer. Why the district didn't make New Page the high school and re-do the high school to be the middle school I will never understand."

"Gloucester High School is not a terrible school. My experience there, however, has been less than stellar. I have encountered questionable teachers, horrific bathrooms, and a group of administrators that seems to lack the ability to help many students. The school is also quite old, and the heating and air conditioning systems have failed several times in my four years here, leaving students either sweating or shivering, and hardly ever comfortable. Despite these shortcomings, however, I feel that my AP, DE, and honors classes have helped prepare me for college. I have not had experience with any classes outside these labels, so I cannot speak for the other levels of classes. My teachers have generally been extremely helpful and supportive. They are very knowledgeable and love the subjects they teach, and have given me a great education."

"Gloucester high school is okay, but not the greatest, yet not the worst. There are many good teachers in which I have made close bonds with, yet there are also many who are out of touch with their students. Like any high school, it has its pros and cons, but no major bullying or delinquency to be noted. I personally have been satisfied with the overall experience with my classmates and teachers. Many teachers I know truly care about what they teach and foster that sense of learning. My only academic complaint is that there is not a large variety of AP and other higher level courses."
