"I agree tottaly with "I have 2 kids," Posted October 12, 2010. It does seem that this school is run by what ever is to their convenience regardless of what is best for a child, and they stick together even when confronted with the facts and truth. This school seriously needs an overhaul in management especially the VP and special ED department !"

"opinions are just that so for those who want to post the negative about their child's teacher or adminstration usually are the ones who could not bully their way past a policy or have their child's behavior excused yet one more time. As for the academic abilities I find that most individuals (parents) depend upon only the school to teach their child and never even look at homework, attend a conference, or simply do their childs homework(the handwriting and grammar gave it away). Oh and the next time you want to opinionate about after school clubs go ahead and volunteer your time to work an additional hour and half at your job with no additional compensation(yes pay does matter to you too) to supervise, plan, conduct, and then babysit because your student's parent forgot time or stuck in traffic yet again. Just an opinion about the parents who feel it their duty to rate a school."

"How can this school have a rating of 5 out of 10 and still be a Texas Recognized School?"

"I have 2 kids, one that attended WARD k-5 and the other currently a student. In regards to my older child, the teachers were successful in teaching what needed to be taught with the exception of a first grade teacher (no longer there) and a 4th grade teacher whom now teachers sp.ed. I learned that when you complain about a teacher, the principal will side with the staff member over your complaint. Repeated complaints need to be brought to the principal's attention for anything to be done. I have noticed a big difference in the running of the school compared to 2 yrs ago.Traffic is more tolerable and the new addition is serving its purpose. The VP is horrible! She has a bad attiitude and is confrontational and harsh. The Principal is very friendly. Overall, I am pleased w/ the education my youngest is receiving at WARD."

"Some teachers will go the extra mile and beyond to make sure they give each child the best education they can get... and then there are the teachers who are there just to get their paycheck every month. It is a very disappointing school over all, except for the couple of teachers who are truely exceptional."
