"My daughter has attended Parkhill Elementary for the past two years. I can testify that a very close teaching relatioship between the teacher/parent/and child is essential. Afterall, the old proverb applies: 'it takes a village to raise a child.' When you look at the demographics of the students, I can see and understand why testing scores are lower than what we would like to see. I don't believe the answer is to yank her out of public school and incur additional financial expense to place her in private school. Instead I've elected invest a considerable amount of time to supplimenting her education. I regularly volunteer in her classroom and subscribe to edhelper.com for additional assignments to reinforce what her teacher is responsible for teaching in class. Sure, some teachers are better teachers than others. Seemingly, some parents are better than others. In summary, Parkhill Elementary is what we make of it!"

"I have found out first hand that the teachers are not parent friendly. This school district does not offer the support you would hope to find when you as a parent are looking for help to assist your child academically. The schools in this district makes you seriously consider looking for private schools or relocation for the sake of your child future."

"I find the quality of academic programs to be very low. Extracurricular activities are unheard off. Level of parent involvement is mid high. the teachers don't really like it when parents question their curriculum and if you want to observe your child in class they want you to make an appointment."

"Teachers are friendly and try hard to help students acheive their goals."
