"There are alot of "Good Things" that are going on at Welborn, for those students who want to learn. There are also a handful of students that makes the learning environment difficult at times. If you have a child that is strong in their conviction and have parental support. Then Welborn is not a bad school, the leadership could be better. I truly believe the teachers there make the difference. Regardless of the leadership."

"My son has been at Welborn for 2 years. He is now in his last year. The school has excellent quality teachers led by an awesome principal. Technology and science are key to the curriculum. The magnet students are provided with a netbook to utilize throughout the year and my son has had the opportunity to take physics and now forensic science. The school had the highest improvement of all the middle schools in Guilford county. come visit our school and see how we do our "BEST'!!!"

"I wanted to correct my errors on my previous post. There is NO parent involvement. Students refuse to LISTEN to teachers and the weak administrators there. I moved to High Point for one reason..to teach and I experienced everything but the opportunity to teach. I will NEVER ever teach again because of my horrible experience at Welborn. I would not send any human being to that chaotic, dangerous, violent environment. I taught for another school system in the state for 17 successful years. That school is in big trouble and NO ONE cares."

"I love Welborn,I think that it is a wonderful school. My children comes home with good grades and a smile on their faces. I've talked with the teachers, and they are very sweet, and you can tell that they are teaching our children the rite things. My children also come home and tell me how great their day was and how amazing and sweet the teachers are. If you are putting a child in a different school, then I do think that they should go to Welborn."

"Welborn Middle school is on the right track at becoming a better school. We are implementing plans that will bring a more positve environment to the students and staff. Trust me when I say we all need a lot more positivy in our lives. The students still need a little push now and then, but that will take time. We cannot expect to change them overnight. That is a choice they will have to make. We a living in a time where negative attitudes reign supreme., but we can't let that stop us."
