    "My time at this school has, for the most part, been great. I've had the pleasure of having some great and influential teachers that have gone leaps and bounds to help me, even after I've moved on from their class (particularly with high-quality recommendation letters and college and career advice). This school also has a wide array of unique classes that help students who at least have an idea of what they want to do in college and beyond test the water and prepare for what that subject entails (i.e. marine science, astronomy, photography, etc.). Most, if not all of my classes so far have challenged me and helped me learn various subjects. In addition, there are plenty of clubs ranging from drama to community service (Key Club) that students can participate in. That being said, the school can pressure its students to succeed too much, as it did with me. The faculty encourages students into taking several AP/AICE classes and participating in many extracurricular activities and other outside things, and to try to win accolades and awards, which I don't think they quite realize can easily overwhelm students, especially those with health problems or already-heavy personal loads. Also, there are some what I would call bad teachers, but the good ones, at least to my knowledge, outnumber them by a lot. Overall, this is a very good school, but I'd advise anyone going here to not let the staff or other students pressure or generally get to you too much."

    "Most of the teachers at this school truly care about the subjects they teach, and care about the students they're teaching. The honors, AP, and AICE teachers in particular are friendly and engaging, choosing projects that give students hands-on experience in their given subject (for example, when studying beach sand in marine biology, the teacher and some students actually brought sands from places like Puerto Rico and Costa Rica for us to analyze). That being said, there are teachers that don't really try to engage their students, or they just tell students what to do without adequately teaching anything. Overall, though, most of the teachers at least care about their students."

    "When students respect the teachers at Boca High, they tend to offer the same respect back . Most teachers that I have step out of the curriculum in a beneficial way to enhance students understanding in a visual and concrete way."
