"I disagree with the part that complains about the rules. Rules are important and they are not ridiculous. I guess he or she likes13 and 14 year old girls to wear revealing clothing or turn in work late. This school offers honor courses, Latin, and even anatomy. Yes there are 1 or 2 teachers that are not the best, but that is everywhere. However, the majority are fabulous teachers that care for the kids. Their marching band is better than most high school bands and they always have professional quality drama productions in junior high. I highly recommend this school district. I came from Maryland where the schools were not the same. My daughter was behind in 1st grade in Hollidaysburg because she couldn't read. I had 2 girls go to Hollidaysburg Junior high."

"My child attends this particular school. I am in no way impressed. The staff is extremely rude and not willing to talk to parents when needed. The rules are ridiculous. The kids cannot even go to school and have a good day. They are constantly disciplined for nothing. The dean at the school is the rudest person there. He does not respect the wishes of the parents what so ever. Almost every staff member at that school talks down to these children. And they wonder why a lot of kids are being home schooled now. Very bad school district. They do not care about anything but themselves and money!!!"

"I am a current eighth grader at Hollidaysburg Area Junior High School and it is great. There is a lot of extracurricular activities including sports' teams. Our team is the Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers. There is also a MathCounts team and a scholastic trivia team. There are plenty of chances for your student to excel in both sports and academics. There is a group of elite students in the school who belong to the National Junior Honor Society which does service projects for the school and the community. In ninth grade any student passing English in eighth grade has the chance to choose to take a foreign language. The languages are Spanish, French, German, and Latin. If you are considering enrolling your student in Hollidaysburg then I would advise you to choose this school."

"Ive been very impressed with the help my kids have recieved..this school has gone the distance with my children..the only problem I have is the kids are not held responsible for their work..they are given to much time to turn in late or incomplete assignments.."
