"This is only my sons second year at Florida City Elementary. We transfered from a local school in the area. Compared to last year (2010-2011) the school has definitely made improvements. There are a lot of fresh faces around the school and they seem to take pride in our children. My sons enjoy going to school now. I have personally seen less fighting and screaming in the halls. Unfortunately, the parent support isn't great, but there are a few like me who care about the school. I hope this school continues to strive in educating our youth."

"In my opinion Florida City Elementary needs more improvement. The focus should be a little less on where the students should be according to a test and more on accessing the student from their point of knowledge for the best improvement."

"This is our third year at FC.and i believe that our school is getting better.Mrs.Brown is very devoted to FC kids and i love that about her. My son's has special needs and the teacher and staff is very helpful. I would like to see more flyers about upcoming events and school fairs. The food is getting better, but i have seen morning staff push the childern to eat and move faster. Not healthy. I would like to see a art show or maybe a play that doesn't have to be holiday related. School should be more that about 'Tests' and grades but experinces and laughter."
