"I attend this school and the opportunities that the engineering program offers are amazing. I recently took a trip to Fredericksburg TX with my rocketry class and launch our high powered rocket. The launch of our rocket was succesful and we all had a great time building our rocket. The various amounts of careers that this school can prep you for are great. This school can lead you into any engineering field. I am currently seeking a career in mechanical engineering."

"I'm a senior at Booker T. Washington currently and I'm going to have to disagree with all of the previous reviews. I've really enjoyed my years at Booker T. and learned a lot about engineering. I recently got accepted to Rice University for mechanical engineering."

"I believed the recruiting hype and sent my child to this school wanting a smaller, more personable environment. I find the pre-AP curriculum below standards and more like TAKS prep. While the teachers are personable and 'friendly' with students, I am disappointed in their lack of structure and rigor. The teachers are not well-supervised and do not 'team' to support students. The magnet coor. is rarely in the building and spends most of her time recruiting outside the building. There are very few computers/technology for student use. Smart students are admitted but will continue to score well on TAKS/Stanford despite the poor teaching quality. I do not believe that a students needs to be overloaded with homework--but I do expect good instruction and my student to be prepared for college. Think twice before experimenting on your child at this school."

"Booker T Washington is going down every year. As a parent I care about my child and the education that he is getting from Booker T. Washington and I can say that it's sad.I not let my our kids go to Booker T Washington."

"i am a 10th grade student here at btw and i do not like our new dress code, rules are principal and i'm sure all the other students would agree with me. i remember when the kids in my area always saying they would come to this school. but now we are under a new principal and he acts likes he doesn't care about the kids only about getting an exemplary. the rules are too strict now and it seems to me like everything is falling apart. i really want mr. wesley back he was the old principal he was there when my dad went to btw. i think everything should go back to how it was before."
