    "HISD uses the AESOP Automated Substitute Placement and Absence Management system for teachers to create absences/request substitute teachers and for substitute teachers to search for jobs. For each job a substitute teacher accepts, there is a cut-off time for canceling the job the day of the job. The substitute may have personal reasons for canceling a job (we get sick, too ... things happen to us, too), but the substitute does not have to give a reason for canceling a job as long as the cancelation is within the timeframe allowed. If a substitute cancels a job on the day of a job, the system automatically prevents that substitute from accepting another job anywhere else in the district. I have not had to cancel many jobs, but I have had to cancel two jobs at this school, and it is the only school where someone from the school called me at home (and left messages on my answering machine) to harass me about my decision. Poorly played, Deady staff. Poorly played."

    "I am in love with Deady Middle School. The programs here make children learn a lot and while still having fun. My daughter and son are recently attending this school and they love it. They have learned a lot and they are barely 6th graders! I think other schools should follow Deady's examples on how to keep a kid busy while learning new things and interacting with other students. Harmony should take some help tips from this school."

    "Deady is a great school but needs more security my doughter attended 6th grade and she said a lot of fights were going on in the restrooms and that a lot of guys brought unipropiate things to school. Some of the teachers just don't care about the students. she sais that Mrs. johnson is a very good teacher and that all the teachers should follow her steps."

    "I have a son is attending Deady, he is in 8 th grade he as been there since the 6th grade. My son is one if the lucky ones he is a great student .This year he was 2nd honor roll, he is great in math and scince He is also in the kickstart program he has done very well .My child stayed out of trouable, I keep him very busy ,I chek on him offten , keep in close contact with the teachers ,That really helps. But they have alot of work to do in that school, starting with the staff... they need to learn English . Have more fund raising for this school , We as parent need to help this school, Lets put Deady on the map.More security is needed."
